Our Equipment
We have a range of equipment for hire from a Walkman to an OB truck.
We have dozens of TV cameras, mainly broadcast but some semi-pro or consumer if required, many of them being practical. We can provide fully practical equipment such as the Beta camcorders used to record the Bashir interview scene on 'The Crown'- (Netflix) and the complete editing suite that was shown in a later scene. The pictures were recorded and used in the edit or on TV sets in other scenes.
Our Expertise
Our team has expertise in a range of technical areas including camera operation, vision control and lighting, so are happy to work with you to translate your vision to the screen. We can do image processing such as converting a clip from your edit to 4:3 ratio and into analogue video for playback on a period TV, as in this scene from 'Endeavour' (ITV). We can supply TV sets (as well as radios, audio equipment etc.) from any period, with playback - even in 405 line standard.
Our Approach
We take a collaborative approach to every project, working with our clients to ensure their needs are met- and hopefully, their expectations are exceeded. We can advise, but don't try to tell professionals how to do their jobs. We are more than happy to work with your DIT and camera team to get the images you want, your vehicle co-ordinator for truck hire, and your set designer or decorator for integration of equipment into the set - and with other props suppliers.
