1969 Albion ex-BBC Outside broadcast truck. Bought in 2009, restoration has been going on ever since, but much of it is now operational and it has been used in a number of films and TV programmes, including 'Bohemian Rhapsody' and 'The Crown'. This type of vehicle was in service from the late 60s until the late 80s.
We bought Lo23 in 2013, saving it for going for scrap. Commissioned in 1989, it was extensively modernised in 1999 to be one of the first didgital wide-screen production units in the BBC. It is now available for hire, with up to four operational cameras. Externally suitable for any period 1980s - mid 2000s
We have been collecting radio and TV studio equipment since the 1980s, - even after the sale of the Broadcasting Museum we continued to expand the collection. We have pictures of some of our items, (most of which are available for hire)- but by no means all is shown here, there is just too much. This picture shows part of the collection of audio and video recording equipment, including an EMI TR90 2-track tape recorder.
Bought from BBC Wales back in 2004, This 1983 vehicle was used for communicating live programmes back to the network by microwave link. Various options of dishes are available to fit in with different time periods, making it a versatile hire proposition. It has been used on various productions including 'Nolly' and 'Loki'.
